Welcome to The Bears Japan
Hi there, My name is Desmond, I’m British, from North Yorkshire in the UK, owner of The Bears Japan here in Hakuba where we have a great selection of accommodation for you to choose from.
Following a year in Copenhagen Denmark after graduating University in the UK, I moved to Japan in my mid 20’s and have spent most of my adult life (30+ years) living in Japan.
During the years I spent in Tokyo, after discovering Hakuba, I was a visitor almost every weekend during winter season, and a few summer visits too.
When looking to move out of the city, there was really no other choice, I made Hakuba my home in 2008, but have been riding the slopes here for over 30 years! And happy to share my local knowledge with all our guests.
