APC Base 2 makes stand-up paddleboarding in Hakuba simple and stress-free. Even if online booking sites show no availability, they may still be able to arrange your SUP rental if you contact them directly. Another nice feature is that there are no set start times—you can reserve the slot that best suits your day, whether you’re planning to paddle early in the morning or after a hike.
Rental options are flexible. A standard SUP rental for one person (4th grade or older) is priced at 2,800 yen for one hour or 3,800 yen for two hours, and this includes all the essentials—board, paddle, life jacket, and facility usage. Younger children (3rd grade or under) can ride together with a parent or guardian for just 1,000 yen per child. There’s also a new tandem SUP option for two adults, for couples or friends who want to ride together, available at 5,000 yen for one hour or 7,000 yen for two hours.

The SUP season at APC Base 2 runs until November 3, 2025. From October onwards, rentals are limited to experienced riders due to changing lake conditions. In September, opening hours are from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with the last rental starting at 2:00 PM. Because the facility closes on days without reservations, it’s always a good idea to check their Instagram before heading out. To make the most of your time on the water, arrive 10 to 15 minutes before your reserved slot.
